Clippable

Privacy Policy

Effective June 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Clippable Labs Inc. ("Clippable," "we," "us," or "our") operates an AI marketing assistant ("Clippy") that helps businesses, agencies, and marketers create content, publish and schedule it, and create and manage advertising across the platforms they connect. Clippable also builds a private, per-account "Brand Brain" that learns from your own content and results to make better recommendations.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, app, and services (the "Service"). It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Clippable is a business tool intended for use by organizations and the people who act on their behalf. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here. If you are in the U.S., please also see our U.S. Multistate Privacy Notice; business customers can review our Data Processing Agreement.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & Profile Information

  • Name, email address, and (if you set one) password, stored only as a salted hash
  • Company or brand name and optional profile photo
  • If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Discord: your name, email, profile image, and the provider account identifier

2.2 Content & Instructions You Provide

To do its job, Clippy processes what you give it, including:

  • Chat messages, prompts, briefs, and instructions
  • Brand assets and uploads (images, video, audio, documents, links)
  • Personalization and memory you save (assistant name, preferences, brand guidelines)
  • Content Clippy drafts, schedules, or publishes at your direction

2.3 Connected Accounts

When you connect a third-party account, we receive access tokens and the data described in Section 3. We access this data only through official platform APIs, only with the scopes you grant, and only to perform the actions you ask Clippy to take. We never receive or store your passwords for those platforms, and access tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) at rest.

2.4 Billing Information

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store your plan, billing status, and limited billing metadata (such as the last four digits and card brand). Full payment card numbers are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.

2.5 Usage & Device Data

  • IP address and coarse location (country/region)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Pages and features used, and session activity
  • Login times and diagnostic/error logs

3. Connected Platforms & What Each Is Used For

You choose which accounts to connect, and you can disconnect any of them at any time from Tools → Connectors. We request the minimum scopes needed for each capability and use the access strictly to perform the actions you direct. The table below summarizes the live integrations and what we use them for.

Google Sign-In (OpenID Connect)

Scopes requested

openid, email, profile

What we use it for

Authenticate you and create or sign you into your Clippable account. We receive your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier. We do not access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google data through sign-in.

Google Ads

Scopes requested

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords

What we use it for

On your instruction, create, edit, pause, and manage Search, Display, and YouTube ad campaigns in the Google Ads accounts you connect, and read campaign settings, performance, and spend so Clippy can report results and suggest optimizations. Ad spend is billed by Google directly to your own Google Ads account.

YouTube

Scopes requested

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly

What we use it for

Upload and publish videos to the YouTube channels you connect when you ask Clippy to, and read your channel and video metadata and metrics (views, likes, comments) to report performance and learn what works.

LinkedIn

Scopes requested

openid, profile, email, w_member_social, r_ads, rw_ads, r_ads_reporting

What we use it for

Confirm your identity, publish posts you approve to your LinkedIn profile or page, and (where the LinkedIn Advertising API is enabled for your account) create, manage, and report on LinkedIn ad campaigns. We also use LinkedIn's public Ad Library API for competitive ad research.

Snapchat Ads

Scopes requested

snapchat-marketing-api

What we use it for

On your instruction, create, manage, and report on Snap ad campaigns (Snap Ads, Spotlight, and Story placements) in the Snapchat ad accounts you connect. Ad spend is billed by Snap directly to your own account.

TikTok

Scopes requested

TikTok Login Kit / Content Posting API (minimum scopes)

What we use it for

Confirm the connected account, publish clips you approve, and read public profile and content metrics for content you create or schedule through Clippable.

Stripe

Scopes requested

OAuth / API (your connected account)

What we use it for

Two separate roles. (1) As our payment processor, Stripe handles your Clippable subscription billing. (2) If you connect your own Stripe account as an integration, Clippy can read products, prices, and payment/subscription reporting to align your offers and copy. Full card numbers are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Other connectors

Scopes requested

Provider OAuth (minimum scopes), e.g. Dropbox, Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Miro, Whop, ManyChat, ElevenLabs, X, Reddit, Meta

What we use it for

Accessed only after you authorize them, using the minimum scopes needed for the capability you enable (e.g. reading source files, sending messages you direct, or referencing your offers). We use these only to perform the actions you ask Clippy to take.

Google API Limited Use. Clippable's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI/ML models, do not sell it, and do not transfer it except to provide or improve the features you use, for security, or to comply with law.

YouTube. Features that use YouTube are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Clippable's access to your Google data via the Google security settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the Service: run Clippy, generate and edit content, and publish, schedule, or advertise on the connected accounts you direct
  • Power your Brand Brain: analyze your own content and results to learn your voice, best times to post, and what performs, and to make recommendations for your account only
  • Report & optimize: read performance and spend from connected platforms to show results and suggest improvements
  • Billing: manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe
  • Security & integrity: authenticate users, prevent abuse and fraud, and keep the Service safe
  • Support & communications: respond to requests and send service and account notices
  • Improve the Service: understand usage to fix issues and build features
  • Legal compliance: meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

We act on your connected accounts only as you direct and do not take spend-gated or publishing actions without your confirmation.

5. AI & Machine Learning

Clippy uses third-party AI and large-language-model providers to generate text, media, and recommendations. These providers process your inputs only as our service providers, under contract and on our instructions.

  • We use your data to operate and improve the Service and to power your private, per-account Brand Brain.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not permit our AI/LLM providers to use your content to train their foundation models.
  • We do not use your data to build a profile of you for advertising, and we do not pool one customer's data to benefit another.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unintentionally similar to existing material. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on or publishing it. See our Terms of Service for the rights and responsibilities that apply to inputs and outputs.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only as follows:

  • Service providers / sub-processors: hosting and database (Railway), CDN and security (Cloudflare), billing (Stripe), AI model providers (via OpenRouter, contractually barred from training on your data), product analytics and error monitoring (e.g., PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, Sentry). They process data only on our behalf.
  • Connected platforms, at your direction: when you ask Clippy to post or run ads, we send the relevant content and instructions to the platform you connected (e.g., Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok).
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law or legal process, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you.

Where we process personal data on behalf of a business customer, we do so as a processor/service provider under our Data Processing Agreement.

7. Data Security & Retention

7.1 Security Measures

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
  • OAuth access tokens encrypted with AES-256-GCM
  • Secure authentication (OAuth, PKCE) and salted password hashing
  • Role-based access controls, logging, and monitoring

7.2 Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, accounting, or security purposes (for example, billing records kept to meet financial-reporting obligations). Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and data
  • Portability: receive your data in a portable format
  • Disconnect any connected account and revoke our access at any time
  • Opt out of marketing communications

To exercise these rights, email privacy@clippable.io. U.S. residents should also see the U.S. Multistate Privacy Notice.

9. International Data Transfers

Clippable is based in the United States, and your data may be processed there. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK IDTA where applicable). See our Data Processing Agreement for details.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies: authentication, session management, and security
  • Analytics cookies: understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it

You can change analytics cookies anytime in Settings → Security & Data → Cookie preferences (when signed in), via the cookie notice on our marketing pages, or through your browser. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.

11. Third-Party Platforms

When you connect accounts, we access data through their official APIs in compliance with their developer terms. Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies:

  • Google / YouTube: Google API Services User Data Policy & YouTube Terms of Service
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn API Terms of Use
  • Snapchat: Snap Marketing API & Business Terms
  • TikTok: TikTok for Developers Terms
  • Stripe: Stripe Services Agreement & Privacy Policy

See our Platform & Third-Party Data Compliance page for connector-by-connector detail. You can disconnect any account at any time from Tools → Connectors.

12. Children's Privacy

Clippable is a business tool intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@clippable.io and we will promptly delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service and update the effective date above. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
