U.S. Multistate Privacy Notice

Effective January 1, 2026

This U.S. Multistate Privacy Notice (“Notice”) supplements Clippable's Privacy Policy and applies to individual residents of U.S. states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia (collectively, “State Privacy Laws”).

This Notice explains your rights under those laws and how Clippable collects, uses, and shares personal information about residents of those states. Unless otherwise defined here, terms have the same meaning as in our Privacy Policy.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Clippable collects personal information in the following categories, depending on how you interact with us:

Identifiers

Name, email address, IP address, device identifiers, and account usernames. Collected from you directly when creating an account or using the platform.

Customer Records

Account profile information, company details, and billing/subscription metadata. Collected from you directly to deliver the Services and process subscription payments.

Commercial Information

Subscription plan and history, and records of content you create, schedule, or publish through the Service. Generated through your use of Clippable.

Internet or Network Activity

Pages visited, features used, login times, and session data. Collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies when you use our website or app.

Connected-Account Data

Identifiers, content, and performance/engagement metrics from accounts you connect (Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, and others). Collected via official platform APIs with your authorization and used to perform the actions you direct.

Inferences

Derived insights from your own content and results, such as preferred voice, best times to post, and what performs, used to power your private, per-account Brand Brain and recommendations.

Sensitive Personal Information: Clippable does not collect sensitive personal information as defined by State Privacy Laws (e.g., Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information), and does not use any such information for purposes beyond those strictly necessary to provide the Services or comply with law.

2. Purposes for Collection and Use

We collect and use personal information for the following business purposes:

  • Service Delivery: Operating Clippy, generating content, and publishing or advertising on the accounts you connect, on your instruction.
  • Personalization: Powering your private, per-account Brand Brain and recommendations from your own content and results.
  • Billing: Managing your subscription and processing payments through Stripe.
  • Analytics & Improvement: Understanding how the Service is used to improve features and user experience.
  • Fraud Prevention & Security: Authenticating users and detecting abuse and other policy violations.
  • Communications: Sending service and account notices.
  • Legal Compliance: Meeting legal obligations, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

Clippable discloses personal information to the following categories of third parties for business purposes:

  • Service Providers: Companies that help us operate the Service, including hosting and database (Railway), CDN and security (Cloudflare), billing (Stripe), AI model providers (via OpenRouter, barred from training on your data), and product analytics and error monitoring (e.g., PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, Sentry). These parties process data only on our behalf and under our instructions.
  • Connected Platforms, at your direction: When you ask Clippy to post or run ads, the relevant content and instructions are sent to the platform you connected (e.g., Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok).
  • Government and Law Enforcement: Where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred to a successor entity.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Clippable is not an ad network and does not engage in interest-based advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, or as required by law. Specific retention periods:

  • Account and content data: Retained for the duration of your account and up to 3 years after account deletion, unless a shorter period is required by law.
  • Billing records: Retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial recordkeeping obligations.
  • Usage and analytics data: Retained for up to 2 years from collection.
  • Support communications: Retained for 2 years from the date of the interaction.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45-60 days).

Right to Know & Access

You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, business purposes, and third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete

You may request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., where retention is required by law or to complete a transaction).

Right to Correct

You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you. For most account data, you can update this directly in your account settings.

Right to Data Portability

Where technically feasible, you may receive a copy of your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

Clippable does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This right is therefore not applicable to our current practices.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. You will not receive a different quality of service or pricing as a result of submitting a privacy request.

6. How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a privacy request, you may:

We will verify your identity before processing your request by confirming your email address and, where necessary, additional account details. We will respond within 45 days of receipt of a verifiable request, with one possible extension of an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing signed written authorization and verifying your own identity directly with us.

7. Right to Appeal

If we deny your privacy rights request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at privacy@clippable.io with the subject line “Privacy Rights Appeal.” We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and will explain the basis for our decision.

8. Children's Privacy

Clippable is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at privacy@clippable.io and we will promptly delete it.

9. Updates to This Notice

We may update this Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Notice periodically. Continued use of Clippable after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Notice.
